Olanrewaju Omiyinka James popularly known as Baba Ijesha in Nollywood movies has been convicted and sentenced to 16 years imprisonment for sexual assault of an underage girl.
He was sentenced by an Ikeja Special Offences and Domestic Violence Court.

Delivering the judgment, the trial judge, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo found the defendant guilty of four Offences, out of the six counts he stood trial for.
The offences bordered on allegations of indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration, and sexual assault by penetration.
Baba Ijesha was pronounced guilty of counts 2,3,4 and 5 while the court held that the prosecution could not prove counts 1 and 6 offences.
He was found guilty of indecent treatment of a child and sexual assault, which is contrary to Section 135 of Lagos State Criminal Law 2015 which stipulates that “Any person who unlawfully and indecently deals with a child commits a felony and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for seven years.
The convict was dragged before the court by the comedian and fellow Nollywood actor, popularly known as Princess for defiling an under-aged girl in her care.
