Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned President Bola Tinubu regarding the ongoing protests.
Speaking through a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin,the cleric admitted that Nigerians are bitter and hungry and urged the president to dispense of his ministers and aides, who have constituted a problem to his administration.
He stated that the ongoing protest is not about Tinubu alone but also about the incompetence of his ministers and aides.
He added that apart from Tinubu’s appointees, Senate president, Godswill Akpabio is also part of his problem.
According to him, Tinubu should reduce the cost of living to stop Nigerians from complaining. He warned Tinubu not to joke with the people, adding that the country would collapse if the protest continued.
The statement read: “The country is bleeding; he should reduce the price of foodstuff, power, and petrol and he will see that people will not bother about anything.
“They are mocking his government and his ministers are not even helping him. Even the senate president is a problem to his administration because he doesn’t coordinate well. If not, there shouldn’t be anything like a protest.
‘’If this protest continues, it will spoil the betterment of the government. All he needs to improve is light, fuel, and food but he is not listening.
“I think there is something in that seat of power that makes these presidents deaf. It’s as if there is a force hovering over the country. If this gets to 10 days. The country will collapse. Do not joke with these people.
“I had said what we will experience if we vote for a bad government but we can turn this bad to good by listening to good advice.
“Those you feel hate you don’t hate you, they are only telling you the truth. They spoke about 40,000 rice but there are no modalities to it. Don’t wait till the whole thing spoils.’’
Ayodele said people like Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, traditional rulers, and politicians are deceiving the president and urged him to shun deceivers and face reality.
“People are deceiving you too much, the unofficial governor of Abuja, your daughter, and all these traditional rulers are all deceiving you. Listen to the voice of common men, these obas didn’t vote for you, listen to those who spent their time to vote for you. The protest is a wrong signal, it doesn’t take you anything to solve this economic catastrophe. The honourables, senators, and governors are to be blamed also, they are not helping the situation, it is not the federal government alone. The president should stop giving them materials for the common Nigerians,” the spiritual leader added.
‘’Nobody is instigating anything, everyone is angry including the forefathers of this nation like Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikwe, Tafawa Balewa, Anthony Enahoro, and MKO Abiola.’’
