Attackers of INEC facilities, enemies of democracy out to sabotage 2023 elections – Shehu Sani

Sen. Shehu Sani has described those attacking and destroying facilities of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as ‘enemies of democracy’ intent on truncating the 2023 general elections.
In the past three weeks alone, INEC offices in Ogun and Ebonyi states had been razed, leading to loss of vital electoral materials, such as ballot boxes, polling cubicles, permanent voters cards, etc.
However, in a tweet, on Monday, the former Kaduna lawmaker identified the attackers as anarchists and of progress, who want to abort next year’s general elections.

“The ultimate aim of those attacking and burning down INEC offices is to sabotage the coming general elections,” Sani wrote in his tweet.
“They are enemies of democracy. It’s a patriotic duty for people to defy violence and rise up against those anarchists.”
