Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in last year’s general election on Thursday nicknamed President Bola Tinubu ‘T-Pain’ as a result of what he described as the president’s poor management of the crisis over fuel subsidy.
According to Atiku, the pervading economic hardship in the country arose from the president’s mismanagement of fuel subsidy.
He noted in a statement that he was concerned about the rising inflation rate, that has impacted the people negatively, adding that the president seemed u bothered by the plight of the citizens.
“The haphazard and disingenuous approach of the current administration to fuel subsidy management has been the reason we are in this current economic crisis in the country,” Atiku said.
“As things stand, there will be no let up in the escalating inflation rate, which is drowning the material well-being of Nigerians.
“It is even more worrying that T-pain is undisturbed by the hardship in the country.”
