No fewer than 200 bandits were killed in Niger State in three days during operations by the Nigeria Army.
According to PR Nigeria, the bandits were eliminated by air strikes.
The Niger State Commissioner for Local Government, Community Development, Chieftaincy Affairs and Internal Security, Emmanuel Umar, on Wednesday disclosed the development.
In a statement, Mary Noel-Berje, the media aide to Governor Abubakar Bello, said the commissioner held a press briefing at the Government House, Minna, at the behest of the governor, saying several commanders of the terrorist groups were killed in the raids.
Umar identified the eliminated terrorists, as belonging to the camps of Ali Kawajo, Yello Janbros, Kachalla Halilu and Bello Turji.
