The Apostolic Faith Mission Headquarters for West and Central Africa (WECA) on Thursday began its special Easter Retreat Programme with the theme “ Calvary the Gateway to Power’’.
The AFM (WECA) mission said that the four-day retreat takes place simultaneously at its headquarters, Anthony Village, off Ikorodu Road and various branches all over Lagos State.
The Head of Public Relations, AFM (WECA), Mr Kayode Adeleye, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the 2019 Easter commemoration would be in a special way through many spiritual activities lined up.
Adeleye said that the Easter Programme with the theme “Calvary the Gateway to Power’’, was expected to attract many that were seeking the face of God.

“In the spirit of the solemn season, the Apostolic Faith Church today begin our annual Easter Retreat from today April 18-22 at our headquarters in Anthony Village Lagos and other branch churches.
“The 2019 Easter Retreat tagged `Calvary the Gateway to Power’, is expected to feature choir renditions, bible teachings; film show, questions and answers and other side attractions.
“There is free feeding for the retreaters throughout the four-day spiritual exercise in all our branch churches.
“The retreat is open to all and sundry especially those who are seeking the face of God for one thing or the other,” he said.
Adeleye said that God was ready to bless all those who will attend the retreat, saying that there would be free transportation provided for the prospective attendees at designated points.
“God is ready to shower his blessings on those that will seek him during the retreat; therefore, we enjoin everyone to come and be blessed spiritually and physically during this programme.
“The children are not left out of the outpouring of blessings during the retreat as there is provision for them to have their service in their chapel on the camp ground.

“The Easter retreat is packed full of soul-inspiring music and activities that will be a blessing to all attendees,|” he said.
Adeleye said that the Easter Retreat will also include concert on April 21 at the WECA headquarters, Camp Ground, Anthony Village Lagos.
“The concerts will feature Symphony Orchestra, classical and sacred music from the masters. The concert as usual is expected to draw the presence of crème de la creme of the society.
“Easter is a time of sober reflection of the death of Christ on the cross to redeem men from death, so we need to place the required attention to this purpose,” he said. (NAN)
