Apostle Suleiman critic, Balogun regains freedom after spending night in police cell for refuting miracle money claim
A social activist, Israel Balogun, has finally regained his freedom after spending a night in police cell for refuting Apostle Johnson Suleiman’s miracle money claim.
The police detained Balogun over allegations of cyber stalking and criminal defamation following a petition by Suleiman, who is the general overseer of Omega Fire Ministry.
Balogun’s offence was that he picked holes in the claim by Suleiman that some of his church members received money in their bank accounts after his prophetic declaration to that effect. The moneys were deposited by Angels, he claimed.
Balogun’s lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, announced that his client has been released.
“My client, Mr Israel Balogun has been released from the custody of the FCIID Abuja.
“He was detained yesterday over a petition by Apostle Johnson Suleman after he called him out and debunked his miracle money claims.
“The Apostle claimed to have commanded angels to credit people.”
