APC continues to boil in Osun, suspends 26 additional members

The gale of suspension that hit the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is unabating as the party suspended additional 26 members of the party, who were accused of anti-party activities.

The party had earlier expelled 84 members for the same reason.

A statement signed by Mr. Sooko Lawal, Osun APC Chairman, announced the latest suspension, saying it followed complaints and allegations of factionalisation of the party brought against the affected members.

The statement read: “Following complaints of anti-party activities, the State Executive Committee of the Osun State chapter of the APC constituted a Disciplinary Committee to investigate the allegations against some of its members.

“This disciplinary measure comes in response to the allegations of misconduct bordering on factionalisation of the party and creating parallel party organ.

“The disciplinary committee undertook a thorough and impartial review of the allegations and the findings were carefully deliberated upon by the State Executive Committee.

“After a comprehensive assessment of the evidence and consideration of the committee’s recommendations, the state executive committee has taken the difficult, yet necessary, step.”

He reeled out the names of those suspended, as Mr. Adelani Baderinwa, Najeem Salami, Sen. Mudasiru Hussain, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, Adebiyi, Mr. Sikiru Ayedun, Kazeem Salami, Gbenga Akano, Israel Oyekunle, and Mr. Tunde Ajilore.

Others included: Alhaji Adesiji, Mr Tajudeen Famuyide, A. Adelowozeez, Mr. Kunle Ige, Mr Biodun Agboola, Gbenga Awosode, Rasheed Opatola, Gbenga Ogunkanmi, Akeem Olaoye, Francis Famurewa, and Mr. Segun Olanibi.

The rest are: Mrs. Adenike Abioye, Wasiu Adebayo, Rasheed Afolabi, , Mr Ganiyu Ismaila Opeyemi, MBO Ibraheem, Zakariah Khalid-Olaoluwa-South LCDA.

The statement continued: “As we move forward, we enjoin our members to remain focused on our goals and continue working together to serve the interests of our constituents and our State.

“Our commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and adherence to our party’s core values remains unwavering.”
