The Intelligence Response Team of the Inspector General of Police, in Lagos, has arrested a 34-year-old man, Iwueze Kingsley, for stealing a car and other properties, belonging to an Uber driver, Clifford Echereode.
It was reported that Iwueze had lured the driver to a bar in FESTAC Town area of the state, on the night of April 22, 2019, pretending to be in need of his services.
He approached the driver, to pick up his brother, who he claimed was coming to Nigeria from Ghana.

A few minutes after sealing the deal, the suspect lured the driver to the bar, where he offered him barbecue meat he had laced with Antivan drug.
The driver, after eating the meat, slept off, while Kingsley escaped with his Toyota Corolla car, with Registration Number, LAGOS GGG 720 FK, and his INfinix android phone and other properties.
The suspect told detectives, let by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, that their modus operandi, was to drug their victims, before taking their cars to the eastern part of the country, where they usually dispose of them.
His revelation guided the Police to arrest other members of the gang, namely, Moses Ugwu, Ugwuoeke Euphemia, and Onyebuchi Odoh, who receives the items before disposing of them.
