Senate Minority Leader, Sen. Eyinnaya Abaribe, has advised the people of Anambra State and the South-East against voting “champagne drinkers and confused people as governors”.
Sen. Abaribe said that the state was broken and needed a visionary leader who can rescue it from the shackles of Governor Willie Obiano-led government.
Speaking, on Thursday, at a rally at Atani Central School in Ogbaru, Sen. Abaribe advised Anambra people to drop their fears over the forthcoming election and come out to exercise their civic duties.
He asked the people of the state to vote for the PDP and its governorship candidate in the November 6 election, Valentine Ozigbo, for better governance.
Sen. Abaribe, however, assured the people that security agencies were working to ensure a peaceful election.
“Do not be afraid coming out to vote. Come out and exercise your franchise. Security agencies are already top of the situation,” Abaribe said.

In his remarks, Ozigbo, whose running mate is Azuka Enemo, assured that the PDP will ensure good governance in Anambra.
Former Governor and PDP 2019 vice presidential candidate, Peter Obi, PDP Anambra flagbearer in 2017, Oseloka Obaze, and other party chieftains attended the event.
