Anambra CP visits Joe Igbokwe’s razed home

Commissioner of police in Anambra Tony Olofu on Monday visited the home of Joe Igbokwe, an aide of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, which was razed by a group of men currently at large.

Mr Igbokwe’s Nnewi home was torched on Sunday. He accused the Indigenous People of Biafra of being behind it.

Mr Olofu also visited the office of the Department of State Service (DSS) in Anambra which was also set ablaze.

He also led senior police officers and tactical squads on patrol within the state.

The team also visited the residence of former petroleum minister Chu Okongwu and the police area command in the town.

While condemning the recurring public disturbance and attacks on government facilities and private residences in the state, Olofu charged his subjects to be firm and resolute in fighting crime.

He reassured the people of Anambra State of the Command’s commitment to do everything within its powers to maintain public security and safety in the state.

He enjoined the people to remain vigilant and law-abiding and assist the police and other security agencies with timely and credible crime prevention information.
