Zidane ready to offload Bale, 13 others this summer

Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane, is reportedly planning a mass exodus of unwanted players from the club this summer.

The Spanish League giants are about to wrap up the 2018-19 season without a single title, while they finish third on La Liga table.

Daily Mail, however, reports that the Frenchman has listed 14 players who will not be part of his squad for the 2019-20 campaign kicking off later this year.

Having failed to compete for the league title this term, they also crashed out of the Champions League at the round of 16.

While their contention to win the Copa Del Rey also ended in February following their 4-1 aggregate defeat to Barcelona at the semifinal stage.

The publication further reported that Zidane is hoping to seal deals for Eden Hazard, Paul Pogba and Luka Jovic in a bid to help the club return to glory days.

As the likes of Keylor Navas, James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale have been penciled down as some of the players who will leave the club this summer.

While Andriy Lunin and Luca Zidane set to be named as back-up goalkeepers for Thibaut Courtois ahead of the coming season.

The future of Jesus Vallejo, Theo Hernandez and Sergio Reguilon are also in doubts with Zidane hoping to find adequate replacement soon.

Zidane is eyeing Lyon full back Ferland Mendy in as competition for Marcelo while Eder Militao will complete his move from Porto once the season has ended.

The manager is also planning to allow Mateo Kovacic, James Rodriguez and Martin Odegaard leave to free up space for Pogba, Christian Eriksen and Ajax’s Donny van de Beek.

Dani Ceballos, Marcos Llorente and Oscar Rodriguez are also potential names that could be heading for the exit at the Bernabeu.

Bale is the most high-profile name on the list, and Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham, Manchester United have all been named as potential destinations for the Welshman.

Hazard has been heavily linked to replace Bale with Real ready to make a £86 million bid for the Chelsea talisman.

Lucas Vazquez, Brahim Diaz and Mariano Diaz could also be facing anxious waits over their future at the La Liga side.

Real Madrid are set to offload their star striker Gareth Bale at the end of this season.

The attacker has scored just nine goals and provided two assists for Los Blancos in all competitions this campaign.

His current deal with the Santiago Bernabeu side expires in the summer of 2022 but the La Liga side are hoping they can cash in on the forward before then.
