The Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria ( YSFON) has released its programme for the first quarter of this year.
According to a statement from the national secretariat of the body, activities for the year will start with a two-day coaching clinic for youth football coaches slated for Lokoja, Kogi State, from February 26-28 while there will be an U-19 zonal boys football tournament from March 9 – 18 to be held at each geopolitical zonal centres with the winners representing their zones in the national championship later in the year.
The statement further stated that there would be a national U-17 and U-19 boys and girls badminton championship to be held in Kaduna from March 24 -30 while the YSFON U-19 national zonal boys football finals to select players into the YSFON national team (YSFON Stars) will hold in Ibadan, Oyo State from April 3 – 7, with one team each representing the six geopolitical zones of the country.
There will also be the maiden Comrade Ahmed Yusuf Fresh national U-15 boys football tournament in Minna, Niger State from April 13-20, 2019 while a date for the annual Ramat U-16 international tournament would be announced later.
