Nigerians expressed utmost disgust towards Apostle Johnson Suleiman, the senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministry, over comments he made about acquiring his third private jet during the COVID-19 period.

Suleiman, in a viral video, said he prayed that the pandemic should not end because he was resting and had acquired his third jet at a time when most of the world was battling to control the virus.

Nigerians slammed the clergyman for making what they call an insensitive statement.

“In COVID, I bought a jet. The third one. I have three. I was praying for COVID not to end because I was resting. While people were complaining, my wife asked, ‘Can life be this sweet?’. Am I talking to somebody here?” he asked.

“No stress. I read on the net that there’s a rumour going around that I have a machine that prints money. I like that rumour. They say, ‘He should be investigated. He has a machine that prints money.

“Somebody asked if it’s true and I said it is true. They said, ‘It’s risky o’. I said I didn’t know it’s risky because I already bought the machine. When you speak in tongues, you’re printing money,” Suleiman said.

One social media user asked if Jesus lived a life of luxury while on earth or that Suleiman was just being greedy.

“Imagine #apostlesuleman praying for the pandemic not to end simply because he was busy acquiring material things.

Question 1: was Jesus living a life of luxury during his days on earth?

Question 2: wt did he tell a rich man who wanted to be his disciple to do?”

Another said the Omega Fire pastor is simply selfish for making such a statement at a time when people were dying in their millions worldwide.

Omojuwa, a social media influencer, called Suleiman’s statement disgusting and shameful.

“This is the most disgusting video of a pastor I have ever watched. I will worship Indaboski directly before I endure such a message without taking my leave. This is shameful and condemnable. And there will be humans defending this. Shocking, ” Omojuwa said.

Suleiman, who is not new to controversies, was recently accused of threatening the life of one of his pastors.

In an audio recording, Suleiman had told the that he could be made to disappear as the man accused him of sleeping with his wife.

In 2019, Suleiman made headlines after Stephanie Otobo, Canada based woman accused him of having an affair with her. She threatened to release nude photos of the clergyman.
