Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Party (APC) has blamed the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the 2015 presidential election in the state solely on its inability to manage the fall-out of the party primaries.
The party, however, vowed that the party cannot afford to make such mistakes again.
State publicity secretary of the party, Chris Azebamen, who disclosed this while unfolding the party’s choice to kicked off its campaign from the unit and ward levels, said the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Godwin Obaseki will speak for the party.
“In the last election, we had slightly acrimonious and divisive primaries. We were not able to fully manage the crisis that arose before we went into the election. But the story is different this time,” he said.

He enumerated the achievements of President Buhari under the space of three years to include continuation of projects initiated by predecessors, such as the second Niger Bridge, railway and federal medical centre, amongst others.
Azebamen equally lauded the administra- tion’s effort over what he termed the drastic crash of food importation, local rice production and other social intervention programmes.
The publicity secretary also listed the developmental strides of Governor Obaseki to include rural and urban road connectivity.
