The Lagos Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), on Sunday, said Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, deserve a second term tickets in 2023 for their  performances since they assumed office

Chairman of CAN in the state, Bishop Adegbite, while speaking on behalf of the association at the Interdenominational Divine Service to celebrate the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day held at Chapel of Christ The Light, Alausa, Ikeja, commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for his developmental projects and agenda.

He praised the governor and  his deputy for following strictly their THEMES agenda and development in housing, road construction, health among others.

He urged the party,  All Progressives Congress,  APC, not to ‘ change a winning team’ in the 2023 governorship election.

“We see development happening in Lagos in housing, health and construction works you are doing.  We are seeing all you are doing. You have been following the THEMES agenda doggedly. I don’t see why a winning team should be changed. I will say let a winning team continue,” he said.

In his speech, Governor Sanwo-Olu, who was present accompanied by some members of the state executive, promised government support for families of fallen army heroes, and  a good relationship between the political class and the military.

“We thank you for all your commitments to ensuring our country remains  safe.  As we journey into 2022, let us continue to play our role and remember everyone has a commitment  and part to play . The government will continue to remember all our fallen heroes ” the governor said.

The guest preacher, Venerable Victor Olusa, who spoke on the theme ” I will heal the land’ taking from 2 Chronicles Chapter 7 verse 14, lamented the loss of values, political problems, security challenges and dwindling economy the country is facing.

He, however, urged Nigerians to pray for God to heal the country of its numerous problems.

“We must always seek the face of God and turn from all wickedness,” he admonished.
