Why I’m Joining APC, by Jerry Alagbaso

A former Member of the House of Representatives who represented Orlu Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Jerry Alagbaso, revealed that Governor Hope Uzodimma’s impressive performance in office was the primary reason for his decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Alagbaso, along with his supporters, some of whom were officials of the opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), presented himself as an APC chieftain to the Governor at the Sam Mbakwe Executive Chambers, in Owerri.
He explained that after submitting himself to the APC leadership in Abuja, he wanted to reaffirm his membership at the state, zonal, and local government levels, seeking the governor’s approval for the move.

Alagbaso praised Governor Uzodimma’s support for the Imo Charter of Equity proposal, which outlines a fair approach to political contests in the state, as another factor that convinced him and his allies that the governor had the welfare of the people and the state at heart.
Governor Uzodimma’s representative, Prof. Placid Njoku, thanked Alagbaso for his bold step and kind words about the governor’s performance.
He assured Alagbaso and his supporters of a level playing ground to contribute to the progress of Imo State and the party. The event featured the presentation of the APC symbol, the broom, the constitution, and the flag to Alagbaso and his key supporters, attended by various officials of the Imo State Government and the APC.
