Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State has given reasons why he won his court cases both at the election petition tribunal and at the Appeal Court, saying it was because his election results were crystal clear and without any fraud.
The governor, in his maiden press briefing since he was sworn in, said that his results were generally accepted by the people of the state because they genuinely voted for him.
He said that the declaration of his results was based on the public position adding the effort to track the will of the people by some people in the state failed.

Governor Ihedioha regretted that Imo State was the worst run state in the federation because of the style of governance by the past administration
According to him, the style of governance by the past administration had lured the state into having garnishing cases that has continued to take the time of the Attorney-General of the state who on daily basis would abandon his work to attend to those cases in the court
He itemises some of the cases in the court met on ground on assumption of office to include land case against Imo State Government because of dispossession of land from the owners by the government among others.
The governor told journalists that the present government in the state under his watch is sufficiently distracted by these number of litigations which according to him is the highest in the country.
He said that apart from the number of court cases against the government of the day, there are other challenges bedeviling the government especially on the areas of infrastructures, judiciary, among others.
