Why appointing Ubandoma as SSG was right decision, says Gov. Sule

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has given reasons why Barr. Ubandoma Aliyu, was appointed Secretary to the State Government, stressing that Ubandoma is a repository of knowledge, with a pedigree that will come to bear in the discharge of his responsibilities.

Governor Sule made this known while hosting prominent sons and daughter of the Lafia Emirate, led by the Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Bage (rtd), who came on the thank-you visit in honour of their son, the SSG, at the Government House, on Thursday.

The governor said the position of the SSG, which is the engine room of the administration, requires a person of integrity, knowledge and trustworthy, qualities that have been the hallmark of the new SSG.

Governor Sule stressed that it was his strong believe the administration made the right decision to appoint Barr. Ubandoma as SSG.

While noting that several others who held the position in the past and who contributed their quota to the best of their abilities, have come and gone, Governor Sule added that, based on his antecedents, it is expected that Barr. Ubandoma will surpasses his predecessors in terms of performance.

The Governor called for collective prayer for the appointee to succeed, as according to him, every position of leadership is a test from the Almighty Allah.

Earlier, in an opening remarks, the Sarkin Kwandere, HRH Alhaji Ahmadu Al-makura, who spoke on behalf of the Lafia Emirate, said they were at the Government House, led by their father, the Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Bage (rtd), to show appreciation to the Governor over the appointment of their son as the SSG.

The royal father expressed gratitude that for the first time since the creation of the state, a Lafia son has been appointed as the SSG.

While urging the Governor to consider Barrister Ubandoma as his confidant, the Sarkin Kwandere, commended Engineer Sule for the inroad recorded by his administration in the areas of education, health, roads construction, investments and industrialization, among others.
