No fewer than 12 pipeline vandals have been arrested in connection with the Ijegun, Lagos State fire incident that occurred, on Thursday morning.
The fire destroyed many shops, about 44 vehicles, two unidentified corpse found at the scene. It was a tale of agony for the affected shop owners.

According to Mr. Ibrahim Fariloye, the Information Officer of NEMA, he told the reporter that they arrested 12 Vandals in the inferno, four had serious fire burns, while eight had minor burns.
He said those with serious burns were taken to LASUTH, while those with minor burns were taken to Gbagada General Hospital.
Meanwhile, some of the residents that spoke with our reporter, alleged that some of the vandals wore Army uniforms.
Speaking on the incident, spokesman of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for South West, Ibrahim Farinloye, said the management of the NNPC were immediately alerted about the fire outbreak and that the safety Unit of the Corporation immediately shut down supplies to the affected pipeline in order to stop the fire.
He noted that vandals were responsible for the incident and some of them were affected by the inferno.
Farinloye said security agencies had condone off the area to stop it from being accessed by undesirable elements.
He also advised people in the area to remain calm and go about their normal businesses.
