Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has approved the re-appointment of Dr. Chamberlain Nwele as the State Head of Service in addition to 22 other Special Assistants.
In a Statement released by the Principal Secretary to the Governor Mr Clement Nweke on Tuesday dated 9th July 2019, stated that Hon. Okechukwu Nwakpu was appointed as deputy Chief of Staff while Chief Emmanuel Obasi as deputy Principal Secretary.
The statement further added that five former lawmakers of the State House of Assembly including the former deputy Speaker Hon Valentine Okike were appointed Senior Special Assistants.

The former lawmakers appointed as Senior Special Assistants included Hon. Valentine Okike Uzor, Hon. Frank Onwe, Hon. Julius Nwokpor, Hon. Ogiji Chike Imo who served as the immediate past Chief Whip .
The Special Assistants appointed include Hon. Silas Onu, Chief Enekwachi Akpa, Hon. Onyeabor Ngene, Hon. Edwin Onwe, Engr. Martins Okwuegbu and Hon. Mark Onu.
According to the statement the new appointees would be sworn on Wednesday 10th July 2019 at the Executive Council Chambers Government House Abakaliki.
