Parties in the ongoing hijab wearing crisis rocking the International School, University of Ibadan (UI), has told an Ibadan High Court they have commenced moves to settle the dispute out of court.
At the resumed hearing of the matter , on Wednesday, before Justice Oladiran Akintola, counsel to parents of the children seeking to wear hijab, Dr. Wahab Egbewole SAN, told the court that a meeting of counsels and parties was scheduled to hold after the court session.
At the last hearing, Justice Akintola had admonished parties in the suit not to heat up the polity by exploring informal out-of-court settlement.

At the resumed hearing, on Wednesday, during which secular parents were joined as interested party to the suit, Justice Akintola expressed optimism that the learned counsels would be able to reach truce.
According to him, no efforts should be spared from salvaging Nigeria from religious conflicts.
Counsel to ISU and University of Ibadan, Oluwatobi Olapeji said all parties were working towards reporting a favourable outcome at the next adjourned meeting.
Justice Oladiran Akintola then adjourned the matter to March 22 for mention and report of settlement.
It is recalled some Muslim parents whose children attends the school had instituted a court action against the school authority on behalf of their daughters following the refusal of the school to allow them wear hijab to the school.
This led to initial protest and brief shutdown of the school.
