Two die, five injured in Lagos-Ibadan expressway accident On Monday, an accident involving a Toyota Hiace bus and a Benz truck at Mowe Bus Stop on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway claimed the lives of two people and injured five others.

Mr Ahmed Umar, Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, confirmed the incident to reporters in Abeokuta.

Mowe is a town in Ogun State’s Obafemi Owode Local Government Area. Umar blamed the accident on the bus driver’s speeding and dangerous driving, which resulted in him crashing into the moving truck.

He stated that the collision occurred at 12:20 p.m. on Monday between a Toyota Hiace bus with the registration number GMT 641 XL and a Benz truck with the registration number KSF 320 XX. You May

“The accident involved a total of 20 men, five of whom were injured and two of whom died,” he said.

The injured victims were taken to Famobis Hospital in Mowe, according to the FRSC boss, while the deceased were taken away by their families. He warned motorists against driving too fast and too dangerously, citing the high rate at which most commercial drivers disobeyed basic driving rules and regulations.
