A pro-Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu alliance, Support Groups Management Council, has issued a statement in response to the widely circulated video showing the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s damp clothes.
In its statement, the organisation attempted to persuade Nigerians that the viral video and images showing Asiwaju Tinubu in a damp garment were the product of pranksters.
The APC national leader is fit and ready to compete and win the 2023 presidential race, according to the alliance, which claims the viral video was edited.

On Sunday, Asiwaju Tinubu paid a visit to some of Ogun State’s top traditional rulers, including the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo. The visit was part of his ongoing consultations.
A video of the former Lagos State Governor with a damp clothing around his lower area appeared on social media after the visitations.
The coalition, in a statement signed by Biodun Ajiboye, its Director of Media and Publicity, described the claim as false and a malicious attempt by haters to discredit Tinubu’s meeting with traditional rulers.
The organization claims that the meeting’s purported success prompted people they labeled as “evildoers” and “enemies of progress” to fabricate a false story to discredit the event.
“This time it was because he got his dress soaked!”
“Assuming, but not admitting, that’s the case, is it the back of his knees that’s moist and not his bum?”
So if he wet his babariga, he wouldn’t cover it and would still move to be flat in front of everyone to receive the Awujale of Ijebuland?” The coalition was puzzled.
“It was the typical photoshop alterations and shaky mental agility that drove them to spout a clumsy narrative that made no sense at all.”
“Yet, as their video revealed, he went ahead and prostrated before Kabiyesi following their wetting episode,” the organization stated.
According to them, this was another way to distract their presidential aspirant, which will amount to nothing, adding that Tinubu has his leg on the throttle and there is no going back.
“We want to assure Nigerians that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is healthy and strong enough to undertake the responsibilities involved in the expected rigours of campaigns and politicking when the time comes,” they maintained.
