Tinubu hails Buhari after Aso Rock visits

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) , has described President Buhari as an exceptional leader.

Tinubu stated this after President Buhari hosted him at the State House on Sunday, October 30.

According to DailyTrust, both men held a closed-door meeting.

At the end of the meeting, Tinubu said he was at the presidential villa to thank Buhari for visiting him in London where he sought medical treatment.

“I came to thank President Muhammadu Buhari for visiting me in London when I had knee surgery. He demonstrated empathy. He is an exceptional leader,” he said.

Tinubu arrived at the residence of the Presidential Villa, at about 11 am and the meeting lasted for about one hour.

The agenda of the closed-door meeting was not made public but it may not be unconnected to the activities of the ruling party as regards its convention and the zoning of the political offices, especially the presidency for the 2023 elections.

The APC national leader came alone this time, unlike the previous visits he normally comes with the pioneer interim chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande.

The visit also came a few hours after the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, concluded its rancour-free convention at the Eagle Square, Abuja, where most of the positions were through consensus.

Recall that President Buhari had a few months ago, visited the APC national leader in London when the latter was said to be receiving medical treatment.

Buhari, on Thursday, August 13, visited the Tinubu, in London, United Kingdom. Then, Tinubu was seen leaning on a walking stick as he posed for a shot with the President in photos shared on Facebook by a presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad.
