Three people have been confirmed dead in a building collapse at 13 Wilson Mba street, Arowojobe Estate, Mendez, Maryland, Lagos in the early hours of Thursday.
The incident occurred at about 3:49am prompting immediate reaction of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA response team to the scene of the incident.
The collapsed section of the building is a set of three terraces which were under construction. Three adult males were recovered dead while another three were rescued alive.
All the six victims were site workers. While the injured are reportedly receiving treatments in the hospital, the families of the dead have been contacted.
A combined team of LASEMA’s personnel, Fire service and Nigeria Police are presently working at the scene.
