Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, has told the people of Delta State that time is now to come together to chase out the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Government in the state for allegedly misused over N500 billion that was a cure to the state for pass seven and half years and could not be consolidated.
Sen. Omo-Agege said this shortly after he emerged winner of the Governorship primary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Delta State, saying “we may have our differences in the past but we have been able to reconcile of ourselves.”
According to Sen. Omo-Agege, “With my emergence as the party flagbearer for the 2023 governorship election in Delta State, the APC family is very determined to take over Delta State Government House.

“Anyone who heat you because of APC, heat Deltans, they didn’t pouched you because of APC, they pouched because you are Deltans.
“If your pensions are not paid is not because you are APC or PDP is because you are Deltans, they don’t care about anyone.
“That why we are saying enough is enough and we are prepared to chase Egyptian Government away and build a new Delta State; a state that will be handclaps on manifesto.
“We are to for cause on creation of employment and empowerment for our people.
“The Okowa-led government have nothing to say because they know that they have faired and they going pick someone that will perfect their failure,” he said.
Recall that Sen. Omo-Agege who polled 1,190 votes was returned unopposed by the 1,235 accredited delegates.
Announcing the result at the Federal Collage (Technical) arena, Asaba, the Chairman of the APC electoral committee, Mrs. Oyibo Nwaneri, declared Omo-Agege winner of the primary.
“Having scored highest number of votes, hereby declared Senator Ovie Omo-Agege the winner and APC governorship flag bear for the 2023 election”
Meanwhile, some of the aggrieved members of the party including chieftains like Minister of State for Labor and Employment, Dr. Festus Keyamo, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, a former Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Victor Ochei, Mariam Ali, and others were absent at the primary.
