Terrorists invade Kaduna village, kidnaps three, kill one

One person has been killed and three children kidnapped during the terrorists’ invasion of Sayen Lemu village in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

It was learned the gunmen stormed the village around 11:00pm, on Wednesday, on motorbikes, shooting sporadically into the air.

The terrorists then proceeded to the residence of a leader in the village, Alhaji Habibu, and killed him before whisking three of his children away.

A resident of the area told Daily Trust that, “We don’t think they were hired killers. We believe they are part of the bandits terrorising the area in the recent past.

“You know this area has been recording several attacks by bandits in the last one year, and yet no measure has been taken to save our lives from their frequent attacks.”

However, a breakout faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State in West African Province (ISWAP) has sent a threat letter to some communities in Adamawa State.

The terrorists warned the communities about an impending attack during the Christmas period.

It was gathered that the insurgents dropped the letters in public places around communities.

A resident of Michika, Shehu Kambile told SaharaReporters that “yes, threat letters were dropped in Bazza and Michika towns. The terrorists have warned of an impending attack on our communities during Christmas festivities.

“As it is, our people have been terrified because the terrorists have earned a reputation of carrying out their threat anytime they make one. Should that threat happen, it would be more devastating because of the current hardship occasioned by the prevailing bad economy in the country.

“We’re praying and hoping the military and other operatives would deploy intelligence so as to nip it in bud.”
