A female teacher in Tennessee, United States, Alissa McCommon has bagged 25 years imprisonment for raping a 12-year old male student in her home leading to her getting pregnant for the student.
Alissa, a mother of two and a fourth-grade teacher from Tipton County, in 2021 pleaded guilty to charges of committing multiple sex with about 21 victims, some of whom were minors, rape, sexual exploitation and solicitation of minors.
According to the police, Allison’s mode of operation was to build relationships with minors in her class by playing video games with them, following them on social media, and befriending their mothers, all while exploiting her position of authority.
She targeted one of her victims who was one of her students, made regular contact with him more than 200 times, sending explicit photos to him through Snapchat.
Police said she even warned the boy not to end the relationship threatening she would kill herself if he did.
However, police began an Investigation into her after the mother of one of her victims reported inappropriate texts from her to her son in 2023.
On August 24, 2023, the school suspended Allison from her position without pay and she was arrested on September 8, 2023.
She was charged with a 23-count offence involving multiple sexual crimes with several students.
Though released on bail, she began contacting one of her victims, a 12-year old boy, which was against her bail conditions, and told the boy she was pregnant, leading to police re-arresting her.
Her claim of the boy being the father of the child was confirmed after a DNA test proved her claim was true.
While reacting to her sentence, the mother of the boy said the teacher ‘will burn in hell.’
“The innocent child will be loved and raised without your influence. There’s no amount of time they can give you that will equal what God will give you. You will burn in hell.”
While sentencing her, the Circuit Court Judge Blake Neill said her jail term will run concurrently with no possibility of parole.
She will also be registered as a violent sex offender and prohibited from contacting any of her victims.
“We are glad that we were able to achieve finality, certainty and closure for the victims and their families and the Tipton County community in this case,” police stated.
