Stop Lobbying Me For Appointments, Gov. Lalong Tells Politicians

The Governor of Plateau state, Simon Lalong has appealed to politicians lobbying for political appointments in his administration to stop forthwith; because he has pencilled down all names of people he intend to appoint to work him.
The governor stated this on Monday, at government house in Jos, during the official swearing-in ceremony of the Secretary to the Government , and the chief of staff government.
 Lalong revealed that since his re-election into office as governor of Plateau state, he has being having sleepless nights from politicians trooping his office and official residence lobbying to be appointed.
“I have completed the list of all appointees I need to work with, I repeat again, no one should come to me lobbying for appointment, I have finished. The list of commissioners are also ready.”
It was alleged that most of the government appointees who had worked in the first tenure of Lalong administration were people brought by other top Plateau Politicians.
The Governor in his address charged the appointees to be dedicated to their respective offices, and work towards actualizing set goals of his administration in developing the state.
It will be recalled that governor Lalong last week appointed Prof. Danladi Atu as Secretary to the State Government  (SSG) and Chief of Staff Government House, Hon. Noel Dongjur.
It was learnt that the governor has recently sent 15 names to the State Assembly to be considered as Special Advisers.
The two appointees were those who had worked with the governor when he was a member of the State Assembly.
Present at the swearing-in was the deputy speaker of the House of Rep. Hon. Idris Maje, with 12 other federal Legislators.
The Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Pauline Tallen, chairman, Plateau state council of chiefs; the Gbong Gwom Jos, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, second civilisation governor of Plateau state, Sir. Fidelis Tapgun, and lot of Plateau stakeholders attended the swearing-in ceremony.
