Shehu Sani, a former senator that represented Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, has identified one of those kidnapped by bandits in Anguwan Gimbiya area of the state on Friday.
Sen. Sani mentioned a chieftain of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the state, Eze Fred Awagu Odum Igbo 1, as one of those abducted by bandits.

In a tweet, the former senator lamented that the bandits operated freely for hours.
According to the socio-political activist, the incident was a tragedy.
Sen. Sani wrote: “Eze Fred Awagu Odum Igbo 1 an Ohaneze chieftain in Kaduna State is one of the several persons kidnapped yesterday at Anguwan Gimbiya in the Outskirts of Kaduna city.
“The bandits operated freely for hours.This is the tragedy of our times.”
Recall that some gunmen had attacked the Anguwan Gimbiya community in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Friday.

The gunmen were said to have killed at least two residents.
It was gathered that no fewer than 50 persons were abducted in the community during the incident.
The assailants were said to have invaded the community early hours of Friday with sophisticated weapons and shooting sporadically, leading to the death of the two people.
