Seven COVID-19 patients recover in FCT

Cheery news from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has it that seven of the patients that tested positive to Coronavirus, also known as Covid-19, have recovered.

According to the FCT Minister, Mohammed Bello, who made this known in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday, the patients are set to be discharged.

He explained that the seven patients had undergone two tests for the virus and results were negative.

The statement said: “I am delighted to announce that the first set of patients, totaling seven are ready to be discharged, after their final tests results returned negative.

“Also, our dedicated and exceptional medical staff are doing their best to ensure the recovery and discharge of the remaining 39 patients. We cannot thank them enough for their efforts and we will always continue to encourage and support them.”

The minister assured that the FCT administration would not relent in the fight against the pandemic but would deploy all available resources to protecting the people and ensure that the virus is curbed.
