SERAP threatens kegal action against Kano govt. over deportation of 419 Almajiris to Katsina

The Socio-Economic Rights & Accountability Project (SERAP) has threatened to take legal actions against the Kano State Government  for deporting 419 Almajiri children to Katsina State.

The SERAP, in a tweet, on Wednesday, said that it would head for the court if the decision was not reversed.

“It is illegal and unconstitutional for the Kano state authorities @GovUmarGanduje

 to reportedly “deport” 419 poor Nigerians from Kano to Katsina state.

“We’ll sue Kano state if this illegality is not stopped and if the purported deportation is not immediately reversed.”
