Security operatives, on Wednesday, laid siege on the Blantyre Street, Abuja, National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Nigerian Xpress observed that dozens of stern-looking armed policemen in four patrol vans laid siege against the APC Secretariat complex.
The security operatives combined men and women of the Nigeria Police and the Department of State Services (DSS).

They were deployed apparently to forestall a possible breakdown of law and order.
It was gathered that the security operatives were mobilised in response to security reports about a planned protest by members of the APC against the party’s leadership over the conduct of the recently conducted Ward, local government and state congresses.
