Sanwo-Olu commended over Modern Car Park Facility

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has been commended by a pressure group, the Black Youth Vanguard, for his initiative to build a modern Car Park in the metropolis, saying besides the aesthetic value the facility would add to the city, it would also serve as a tourist attraction to both the residents and visitors to the city.

Making the commendation, on Friday, in Lagos, during a brief chat with our correspondent, the leader of the group, Comrade James Adeyemi, said he felt very proud of Governor Sanwo-Olu “when I witnessed him commission the facility, congratulating the people of the state for making the right choice in 2019 by giving him the mandate to be their governor.”

Speaking further, Adeyemi said the new edifice was another testimony of the governor’s commitment on infrastructure development that would enhance economic growth for the state, agreeing that, “truly, Sanwo-Olu is walking his talk in accordance with his electioneering promises in 2019 before the election that brought him in as governor.”

The youth leader was referring to the Onikan Multi-Level Car Park and Facility building situated at the heart of the city at Onikan axis, recently commissioned by the governor.

Quoting various reports on the project, Adeyemi said, “though I witness the epochal event, I could not verify the total available facilities in the building, however, reports from various media outfits revealed that, the building has five car parking floors that can conveniently accommodate about 384 vehicles.”

Adeyemi also expressed excitement that, apart from ticketing offices and rest rooms on each floor, the 6th floor multipurpose usage is another facility that warms the heart, he enthused that Lagos is rapidly taking the shape of a Mega City, urging the people treat the edifice with caution so as to maintain its aura.

However, reports have it that the Facility Building has a Club House, two Banquet Halls with each having 800 capacity, Water Treatment Plant, Elevators and staircases for smooth and easy pedestrian movement.

Others are Fire Alarm Systems, Power sources and CCTV system to monitor users and detect suspicious movement.

The youthful activist therefore urged the people of Lagos to double their support for the governor who, he described as a God sent Messiah to take good care of them, asserting that, Sanwo-Olu’s good gesture deserves reciprocity through cooperation with his administration with a view to gingering him to do more.

He also charged the governor not to relent in his efforts in serving the people through good governance, reminding him that people are naturally Oliver Twist in nature because they would always ask for more.
