“We are getting to the development of this corridor. The regional road is about 9.6km and it’s parellel to the Lekki-Epe expressway. We believed that this road is very strategic for us in our Lekki master plan development programme. We have seen there are many estates behind Lekki- Epe expressway. This road will not only give relief but enhance quality of life and free movements for our people. Part of the things we have seen is that there are encroachment on the identify right of way. What we are trying to do is to see how we can resolve those issues before we go into final bidding for would be contractor.
The right of way is still largely available. We are committed and this is one of the things we promised this part of Lagos that we are going to build a regional road. The regional road is part of the development that will complement the third mainland bridge, that’s why its also strategic because its going to ease Lekki- Epe express road and in future.
We are hoping that before out first anniversary, the contractor would have moved to site and commence work,” Sanwo-Olu said.
