Robbers invade corps members’ lodge in Oshogbo, rob, injure seven

Seven members of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), serving in Oshogbo, Osun State, were injured when armed robbers attacked their Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF) lodge at Dada Estate.

The robbers dispossessed the corps members of their cash, phones, laptops, among other valuable items.

The attackers said to be about eight broke into the lodge and threatened to kill anyone who refused to lay down their valuables.

“We were attacked and those armed robbers took away all our valuables,” one of the victims said.

“They took laptops, phones, money and other valuables. During the attack, about six to seven of us were injured and we were taken to hospital.”

NYSC Coordinator in the state, Adewale Adegoke, visited the lodge with some officials to sympathise with the victims.

He disclosed that they had lodged report of the incident with the state government, DSS, and NSCDC, adding that those that were injured were taken to hospital for treatment.

He further said, “We have given the security operatives information that will help to apprehend the robbers.”
