Rivers police rescue kidnap victim from forest 

Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have rescued a man, who was kidnapped at Elelenwo community in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State last week Thursday.
Spokesman of the police in the state, Nnamdi Omoni, who disclosed this in a statement, said the victim, one Enyindah Lawson-Ndu, was rescued in a forest in Kono-Boue in Khana Local Government Area of the state during a search for the hoodlums, who had killed three persons in the area.
According to him, policemen found the victim where he was tied, rescued and took him to hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.

Omoni added that following directives by the state police commissioner, Friday Eboka, the command had begun investigating the killing of three people in Kono-Boue on Tuesday.

The victims, the statement said, were: 30-year-old Namene Muaka Ikara, 42, and Kingsley Knee.

However, the police spokesman said no arrests had been made so far but insisted that no stone would be left unturned until the perpetrators of the heinous crime are arrested and brought to book.
