The District Head of President Muhammadu Buhari’s hometown, Magajin Garin Daura, Alhaji Musa Umar who was, on Tuesday, rescued from his abductors, has been taken to Abuja where he is expected to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Unknown gunmen had abducted the Alhaji Umar on May 1, 2019, in front of his Daura residence at about 8:00 p.m. while preparing for prayers.
However, he was rescued in a combined operation of Kano State Police Command and the DCP Abba Kyari, IGP Team along Madobi Local Government Area of Kano State in the wee hours, of Tuesday.

Spokesman of the Kano State Police Command, DSP Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa, disclosed in a statement that the traditional leader was rescued unhurt.
The statement also said that some suspects were also arrested at the Gangan Ruwa Quarters in where Alhaji Musa Umar was rescued.
Sources said the District Head was transported under heavy security to Abuja, to Tuesday.
But DSP Kiyawa said that investigations were ongoing but promised to provide details to the after.
He said: “You know we can’t open up our operation that is ongoing, but we will details to you shortly.”
