The Member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Constituency in the House of Representatives, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, lined up six days activities to mark his 46th birthday celebrating with indigents citizens within and outside his contituency.
Addressing the indigent patients in Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki (AE-FUTHA) Comrade Ogah said that the grace of God is sufficient for the patients for having been cured of their sicknesses, stating that so many people died in the hospital but God made it possible for them to survive.
Comrade Ogah stated that he was in the hospital to celebrate his birthday with the most indigent patients especially those whose their bills billed up beyond their financial power, pay off the bills, strengthen the welfare maintenance.

Hon. Ogah appreciated the support of the Chief Medical Director who gave discount of the bills which was calculated more than 4million naira to be N3,596,000.
Hon Chinedu Oga foundation instantly presented the cheque of three million, five hundred and ninety six thousand naira to the Chief Medical Director of the hospital to settle the bills and cash of one hundred thousand (100,000) naira to be sheared to the benefited patients.
Eleven patients were drawn from AE-FUTHA 1 while fifteen were from AE-FUTHA 2, adding that each patients’ bill was calculated from N50, 000 to N200,000.
Hon. Ogah assured the hospital management that he will bring intervention program to the hospital for the well being of patients such as access road, functional blood bank, oxygen and provide solar energy system.
He advised citizens to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) ready for 2023 general elections, because PVC is the only power to decide who will be their next leaders.
Reacting to the gesture, the Chief Medical Director AE-FUTHA Dr. Onwe thanked Comrade Ogah for celebrating his birthday with indigent patients rather than rich men as many other rich men do. He said that God has a special way of blessing him for having wiped away tears of 26 indigents patients who have stayed long in the hospital from the date they were discharged as a result of financial handicap.

The CMD assured that they will partner with the federal law maker, pointing out that the hospital normally discharge free of charge any woman who put to bed twins or triplets to reduce the burden whether the woman is rich or poor and take care of the babies for six months.
In appreciation, one of the indigent patients prayed that Hon. Ogah may live and see his great grand children for having rescued them from the hospital.
Comrade Ogah also reached out other vulnerable people in the following places; Abakaliki Correctional Center, Motherless Babies Home, St. Vincent Old people’s home, Street beggars, Okada and Keke operators where he donated undisclosed amount of money, clothing material and foods in the spirit of celebration.
