The Enugu State Police Command has declared one 43-year-old Walter Ananyo Egwuonwu, and 46-year-old Sunday Micheal Ofor wanted for alleged homosexual acts.
The duo were allegedly caught in the act of same-sex practice on October 1, 2022, an action the Police said was in clear violation of the Same-sex Marriage Prohibition ACT 2013.
The statement urged anyone with useful information that could lead to the arrest of the fleeing suspects to report at any nearest police station.

According to the Police, Sunday Micheal Ofor, was nabbed in the act with Walter Ananyo Egwuonwu in his apartment at No. 6, James Agu Street, Iwollo Oghe, in Enugu State, by an angry mob in the community that attempted to lynch them but they escaped.
Walter was alleged to have visited Sunday who was celebrating his birthday on October 1, 2022, which coincided with the 62nd Independence celebration of Nigeria.
It is recalled the bill prohibiting same-sex marriage was signed into law on January 7th 2014 by President Goodluck Jonathan with a minimum of 10 years imprisonment for violators.
