Mansir Hassan, ASP, the command’s spokesperson, disclosed in a statement that members of the the syndicate were nabbed on March 24, following credible intelligence.
“The operation resulted in the rescue of one victim, identified as Zainab Abdulhameed, aged 2 years,” the statement read.
“The modus operandi of the syndicate involved targeting underage children who are alone on the streets or running errands.
“Therefore, parents and guardians should remain vigilant and mindful of the whereabouts of their children or wards. The recent arrest highlights the sobering reality of the dangers faced by children when left unsupervised, even for a brief moment. By staying informed and actively involved in their children’s lives, parents and guardians can play a crucial role in safeguarding them from potential harm.
