An Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Martins Onoja, from the IGP Monitoring Squad, has been allegedly killed while on a visit to Nkoto and Awka Communities, in Anambra State.
There had been over a 100-year-old land tussle going on between the two communities.

ASP Onoja was on his way to serve the communities a notice of invitation for peaceful resolution of the land dispute when he was allegedly killed.
Governor Willie Obiano has, however, intervened into the matter to forestall further breakdown of law and order.
