Two suspects have been arrested by operatives of Lagos State Police Command, Satellite Division, for allegedly stealing female underwears.
The suspects, Friday Emmanuel, 21, and Obiora Nwabueze, 29, were arrested, on Saturday, April 20, at Mile-2, while at each other’s throat.
It was learnt that Nwabueze, had contracted Emmanuel to steal female underwears at a fee of N30, 000.
Nwabueze had confided in Emmanuel, that he wanted to use the female underwears for money ritual, which he said they will both benefit from.
Nwabueze had, however, reneged on the agreement after Emmanuel had done the job. This resulted in fisticuffs.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Elkana Bala, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects said the female underwears were stolen from where they were spread to dry, by unsuspecting female victims.
Bala said, “According to Emmanuel, Nwabueze tasked him to steal used female underwear for a fee of N30, 000. However, after he had successfully accomplished the task, Nwabueze reneged on his promise and forcefully attempted to take the underwears from him which led to exchange of blows.
“ During interrogation, Emmanuel regretted listening to his friend, who was pestering him to get him female underwear he desperately needed to become rich.”
The PPRO stated that both suspects were on Tuesday, April 23, charged to Magistrate court-23, at Mbah road, Ajegunle, Lagos for conspiracy and stealing .
