Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) has been accused of inciting religious and ethnic crisis by the spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Presidential Campaign Council and Director, Public Affairs, Mr. Festus Keyamo SAN.

Keyamo, who is also Minister of State for Labour and Employement, thereby called  on security agencies to place the Labour Party Presidential candidate  and some of his supporters on the terror watch lists.

Mr. Keyamo, in a statement he personally signed, said his call for Peter  Obi to be placed on security watchlist was on the ground of a video circulating on social media with a fake message by one of Obi’s  supporters,  Powell Glad Legbe, calling on Yorubas not to vote for Peter Obi.

He alleged that Mr. Obi wrongly and wickedly attributed the said quote and fake message to an amorphous ‘Tinubu group’.

“Up till now he has not withdrawn his accusation nor has he apologised to our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“It is obvious Mr. Peter Obi wants to cause religious crises in the country and for this I call on the security agencies to place Mr. Obi on security watch or invite him for thorough investigation,” the statement stated.
