Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, on Sunday, met with a former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose.
Mr. Obi met the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain at his home, in Lagos State.
An ally of Mr. Fayose, Mr. Lere Olayinka, confirmed this in a post on his social media handle.
Mr. Olayinka had shared photographs of his principal and Mr. Obi with the caption: “Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi visits former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose in his Lagos residence today.”

The reason for Mr. Obi’s meeting with Mr. Fayose was not known as at time of filing this report.
However, there were hints that Mr. Fayode might be wanting to work for Mr. Obi in the 2023 elections.
Of course, Mr. Fayose had before expressed that he would not support the candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, over the way he and other PDP leaders treated Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State after the Party’s primary.
