Sheriff Oborevwori, the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has dusted the Deputy Senate President and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC),
Ovie Omo-Agege, to emerge the governor-elect of Delta State.
Declaring the result of the March 18 election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) State Returning Officer, Prof Georgewill Owuneri Abraham, said Oborevwori, who is the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, polled 360,234 while APC’s Ovie Omo-Agege scored 240,229 votes and LP’s Ken Pela got 48,047 votes.
