Pay good attention to sports, Egbe begs new govs

FIFA match agent, Ebi Egbe, has made a passionate appeal to the new governors sworn on May 29 (Wednesday) to pay good attention to sports.

Egbe, while expressing joy over the fact that most of the governors are sports loving, said a country that wants to move forward could not afford to neglect sports.

“I m happy most of the governors are passionate about sports. The fact that they included sports as part of their pre inauguration program attests to their love for sports. Now that they are on the saddle, my appeal is for them to put sports on the front burner. Sports is the major toll which they can use to engage the youths and reduce crime,” Egbe stated.

The Bayelsa-State born CEO of Monimichelle stressed that the governors should strive to upgrade sporting facilities in their domain insisting that one of the biggest challenges facing the nation’s sports development is the dearth of sporting facilities.

“We need to have enough play grounds and mini stadiums where our youths can go and participate in sports. The existing infrastructures also need to be maintained. A situation where most of our stadiums don’t have good turfs is totally unacceptable.”

Egbe said his outfit, Monimichelle is ready to partner states in the area of upgrading their sporting facilities, pointing out that the jobs his firm did in Aba.
