There was panic and an air in Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s recent appointment of 18 Permanent Secretaries and new General Managers for Ogun State Television (OGTV) and Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC).
The appointment, which was announced barely six weeks into the end of Governor Amosun’s tenure, did not go down well with some members of the state workforce who questioned the governor’s action.
It was also gathered that rather than show excitement at their appointment, many of the newly-elevated civil servants remain apprehensive because of the perceived political differences between the governor and the governor-elect, Dapo Abiodun.
There has been growing uncertainty however that the appointees would retain their position once a new administration comes on board.

Governor Amosun had, last week, approved and inaugurated no fewer than 18 new Permanent Secretaries into the state civil service and two General Managers.
The new Permanent Secretaries were Mr. Mosuro. S. Olatunbosun; Mr. Bajela. A. Abayomi; Mrs. Ogunleye. O. Abosede; Mrs. Ogunremi. M. Olufunke; Mr. Odulana Dolapo; Mr. Olanrewaju Saka; Mr. Olaleye. O. Alao; Mr. Adebiyi. N. Ayinla; Dr. Olabimtan. K. Akande; Mr. Aboaba. I. Ishola; Mrs. Oresanya Yetunde.
Others were Mr. Idowu M.Olubunmi; Mr. Awere. A. Abiodun; Mr. Olukoga. G. Olumuyiwa; Mr. Adewunmi.D.Olufemi; Dr. (Mrs.) Oladeinde. O. Olufunmilayo; Mr. Ogunlana. K. Fatai and Mr. Lanre-Iyanda Olusegun.
The governor also appointed Mr. Oludiji Akinhanmi and Mr. Festus Kehinde as the General Managers of OGBC and OGTV, respectively.
