Oyo guber: Accord Party stalwart, Arisekola backs Gov. Makinde’s re-election bid

The Accord Party candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Umar Farouk Arisekola, has announced his support for the re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde.

Umar Farouk, son of late business mogul and Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, late Arisekola Alao also announced his defection to the ruling People’s Democratic Party in Oyo State.

Arisekola made the announcement on his social media handle.

He stressed that he is ready to support the re-election bid of Governor Seyi Makinde and to further support good governance in the state.

He said, “Dear family, friends, political associates and supporters, this is to officially announce my defection to the ruling People’s Democratic Party in the state. I appreciate the show of love during the recently concluded National Assembly elections where I contested for the Ibadan North Federal Representative under the platform of Accord”.

He continued, “I might have lost the election but the quest for good governance borne out of my deep love and concern for Ibadan North continues. I will continue to support its growth and development.

Since the word on the street is #SeyiLekansi, I join to echo it”.
